Those born on October 24 have two major themes in their lives: that of dramatic revelations and discoveries, on the one hand, and painstaking attention to detail on the other. As they are hardly cold, analytical types, those born on this day generally feel the need to reveal themselves and their discoveries to the world, often in an exciting, even flamboyant manner. Yet most are not exhibitionists by any means, rather craftspeople and professionals who take their work very seriously, particularly from a technical point of view. The influence they work on those who watch or listen to them is calculated to impact as they wish. Not the least of their talents is a personal magnetism which aids in geting people interested in them and what they do.
Those born on October 23 are rarely able to achieve stability in all aspects of their lives. No matter how hard they try to balance their energies, there always seems to be one major area at any give time which will be out of kilter. Somehow controversy seems to follow them wherever they go. Truth to tell, they do bore easy and so are often on the look-out for excitement. Therefore what appears heavily stressful or difficult to others may actually be enjoyable to them.
Decans are 36 groups of stars that rise in a particular order throughout each earth rotation. These decans were developed in Egypt thousands of years ago. The rising of each decan marked the beginning of a new “decanal hour” of the night for the ancient Egyptians and eventually three decans were assigned to each zodiac sign. Each decan covers ten degrees of the zodiac. Each decan is ruled by different planetary rules which are also correlated with astrological signs.
Scorpio is governed by the Element of Water, an Element it shares with the Signs of Cancer and Pisces. Water is also the ruler of the Fourth, Eighth and Twelfth Houses of the Zodiac. Water is linked to emotion and the subconscious. Believed by many to be the strongest and most enduring Element, Water is associated with love, purification, intuition, compassion, family, mysteries of the self and psychic ability.(more…)
Scorpio is the natural ruler of the Eighth House of the Zodiac, commonly referred to as the “House of Death and Inheritance” and known in Vedic Astrology as the “Idle Place” and “Place of Death.” It delves into relationships, interactions and how certain aspects of such interactions can take on a more communal nature. Associated with the dismantling of the physical body, it is related to the passing of those persons an individual holds near and dear. It also rules the areas in life over which a human being has no control or can provide no explanation, as well as being linked to the finances and resources of others. In addition, it has jurisdiction over taxes, inheritances and investment banking.
Also known as the Sign of the Mystic or the Investigator, Scorpio is Negative in polarity (as are Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Capricorn and Pisces). The general characteristics of Negative Signs lean toward introversion and prefer to draw upon personal resources rather than look for external stimuli. Such individuals are naturally more receptive, sensitive and nurturing than are the Zodiac Signs of Positive polarity (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius). However, Negative Signs are also likely to be much more cautious, retiring and standoffish than their Positive counterparts with a tendency to keep personal feelings under tight control. Taurus is the most introverted of the Negative Signs (with Virgo a close second).
In astrology, the Moon is indicative of personality, individuality and the unconscious. It represents instinctive reactions and the side of an individual that will respond to a given situation without prior thought or consideration. The Moon personality is one which a person keeps hidden and may even represent a nature considered to be somewhat disturbing, uncivilized, primitive or animalistic. Basically the Moon personality is an individual’s inner core and its influence is usually a subtle one, relating to a personality which is beneath the surface.
As I mentioned in my previous post, your Sun sign is only one aspect of your personality. Another important sign to take into consideration is your Rising sign, also known as your Ascendant. Your rising sign is often referred to as your “mask” to the world and is the first impression you leave on others. If people you come across do not believe you are a Scorpio, chances are that what they see in you is your rising sign. Only people who know you well will see your Scorpio traits, and those who do not know you very well will see your rising sign traits.
Here is some information about those with their Sun sign in Scorpio, and Ascendant in the 12 other zodiac signs: (more…)
